We are situated in a quiet and peaceful area, and a short drive to many beautiful towns and villages. If it is a quiet, restful, peaceful holiday you are looking for then look no further. We have some amenities here, an above-ground heated private pool, (7.5m x 3.5m x 1.2m), please note the pool is available to use between April and October, children's area, multi sports (tennis, badminton and volleyball),Table tennis, & boules, and a barbecue area. The village is just over a kilometre away, it has a bar, bread by arrangement with the owner. The owner is very friendly but the bar is not open in the evenings. It is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 until 3.30, so lunches are available at a reasonable price and the food is good. We have parking onsite for several cars. There is an excellent wi-fi connection throughout most of the gite. We supply all bed linen (we do not supply travel cot bedding), all towels, including pool towels, and plenty of tea towels.

2020 was our first season at La Morinais, having arrived in France in September 2019 from the UK. We live quietly on site and are normally available at most times if you have a problem or need advice or help. We have had really good seasons since we arrived and have met some lovely guests. We enjoy having guests around the site and have had many evenings enjoying their company, and maybe a tipple or two! We stay open all year and hope to welcome many more guests. You will definitely get a warm welcome! If you would like a quiet get away from it all in the winter months we have a log burner in the gite and electric radiators in all the bedrooms and bathrooms and ask guests to turn radiators down low when not using rooms. We are surrounded by farmland so it is a really quiet area but we have some activities on site for those who like to keep busy. With regards to dogs, we are happy to welcome your beloved pets onsite but ask that, when booking, you let us know you will be bringing a dog with you. We make a small charge and this is to cover extra cleaning charges. We also ask that pets are not allowed in the bedrooms or on any furniture. We have Sennones and Pouance horse racing course less than 10 minutes away. They also have a viewing area to watch the horses, of which there are up to 600 horses at any one time in the area, being one of the three largest horse racing/training facilities in France. There are various lakes close by, one in particular, Étang de la Rincerie has many water sports, a small beach, and a picnic area, this is 9.3 miles, (15 kms), 17 minutes, from La Morinais. There is fishing all around the area, a permit needs to be purchased, these can be purchased from the local Mairie's office. The lake at Martigne Ferchaud (just over 8 km), has a small beach and picnic area for water sports, fishing and swimming. With some amenities. We definitely recommend this area. The closest supermarket is at Martigne Ferchaud, Intermarche, around 10 minutes away, and La Guerche is a Super U which is a larger store, around 15 minutes away. Eance has a bar which is open for coffee from 8.30, lunch and some evenings there is entertainment. Kristen who runs the bar is very friendly.
