Lemonie Gites are based around a traditional 18th century farmhouse standing in a tranquil corner of the Charente, bordering the Dordogne, with views over the surrounding countryside. Set in a 3-acre plot of mature gardens, we are a few minutes away from many local attractions such as the river beach at St Aulaye and the charming village of Aubeterre, one of France’s ‘Beaux Villages’. The original farmhouse and one of the barns have been converted into two holiday cottages (or ‘gites’), retaining original features such as the fireplaces, and traditional stone walls, combining them with modern facilities to enhance your stay. We live on site with our friendly dog Brandon and Pineau the cat. We and our pets will not intrude on your stay. All bedrooms can be made as a double bedroom or twin rooms. Each bedroom has the use of its own bathroom. We provide all bed linen and towels including Pool towels. Please message us for your preference. We have a large, seasonal heated, swimming pool where you can spend your days relaxing, as well as a full-size petanque court and table tennis. In the evenings you can relax with a drink at the open-air bar overlooking the countryside and lake.

Many country walks and bike rides in the immediate area. A lovely river walk ten minutes from the gites. 10 minutes drive to beautiful Aubeterre and 5 minutes to pretty St Aulaye which has a river beach and lots of outdoor activities available along with restaurants and shops.
