Our property is situated in the foothills of the midi-pyrenees. We have a large shared garden (between the two gites) this is divided into two sections that stretches down to the small river that flows from the Gorge de la Frau. The main garden has a climbing frame. The second area can be used to play badminton etc. Or just enjoy sitting and relaxing. The two gites have there own BBQ and terrace. Plus 2 picnic benches in the garden.
Since moving to Fougax et Barrineuf we have been able to take up hiking and have found that we are spending more time cycling as their are so many routes available. We have enjoyed many visits to different villages and places of interest. We love sharing our area with people and if we can we will answer your questions or find someone who can.
We think that in our neighbourhood there is something for everyone. Although a small village in the Ariège surrounded by forests and mountains. Short drives take you to Lakes and Cheateu's. In the summer months you can enjoy night markets held in various villages in the area. Hiking and fishing, skiing and swimming oh and cycling We have a post office and small shop in the village. Two Restaurants within 10 minutes. Crapahut Parc Adventure for all ages is great, Lac Montbel for fishing, or the local rivers.
