Idyllic stay in the heart of the Charente countryside amidst grape vines and summer sunflower fields. The Gite is set in the extensive grounds of the owners home where you can wonder through private woodlands or sit and relax enjoying the spectacular views. The recently renovated Gite is beautifully appointed offering both comfort and luxury. A mezzanine level with a king size bed overlooks a comfortable lounge area equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a mini fridge, bottled water. The bathroom has a large shower, soft towels and bath robes, toiletries. Outside is a pretty secluded private garden with a patio, chairs and table and sun loungers for guests private use. An outside spa/hot tub is available for use , extra charges may apply. An al a carte breakfast is served each morning in the gardens and table d’hote is available as well as light lunches and refreshments, celebrating the produce of the local area and seasonal fresh fruit and veg from our own kitchen garden . Bikes are available to explore the surrounding area.

Les Ombrieres is located in the heart of the Charente region of South West France, nestled amidst vine yards and summer sunflower fields it offers an idyllic setting in which to relax and unwind. Although set in the heart of the countryside, supermarkets , boulangerie , restaurants , petrol station, banks and pharmacies can be reached within 10 mins. The city of Angouleme is less than 30 mins away with a train link to Paris and London and both Bordeaux and Bergerac airports can be reached within 1.5 hours . The coastal destinations of La Rochelle, Royan and Arcachon can be reached within 2 hours .
