I am originally from Sweden but have now lived in France and can not tell you how much I have enjoyed renovating this old, typical French village house, into seperate apartments. two apartments. I have tried to create a home from home for my guests, a place I would like to stay in myself. Both houses are spacious with a blend of old and new decor. Your breakfast basket will be delivered to your door each morning to enjoy at your leisure. Last year, I have opened a little café next door, selling tea, coffee, sandwiches, soup and a large range of delicious homemade cakes, open Thursday-Sunday 11.00- 16.00, that will take care of lunch and afternoon tea as well without having to go very far.
I love meeting people from all walks of life, exchanging stories and making every guest feel at home. I am very proud of the area where I live and it's wonderful to see guest appreciating it as much as I do. It is truly a very special part of France.
Lagarde is a quiet village with wonderful views of the Pyrenees. The chateau at the top of the village is a fabulous landmark which can be seen from afar. A perfect base for outdoor activities, particularly walking and cycling, Nation walkway GR7 goes right through the village and there Voie Verte, just below.
