Come and relax in the heart of the Vaucluse in this peaceful accommodation nestled in a green setting. Welcome to Mormoiron, a former fortified village with a rich architectural heritage, a paradise for cycling enthusiasts, nestled not far from the majestic Mont-Ventoux that dominates the landscape and whose southern slope is illuminated by the sun. All the necessary comfort is in the accommodation to make the most of your stay.
Originally from the village of Mormoiron, I like to discover and rediscover our Provencal region through family walking. It is this desire to discover our treasures that pushed me to become a host. I want my hosts to discover our wonderful region. From the mountains to the sea, everything is there. We have a climate favourable for cycling or walking. Many walks allow you to discover the culinary assets of our region (wines, lavenders, catering) but also sports (bike, climbing, horseback riding, hiking).
Mormoiron is an old mediaeval fortified village located in the Vaucluse, ideally located to visit Provence: close to Mont Ventoux and Avignon. Its winding streets, Provencal basements and ochre quarries, whose industrial activity ceased in the 19th century, give the village its unique character. Mormoiron has a rich architectural heritage: the old hospital, the fountains, the washhouses, the rural chapels, the Saint Laurent church and the watchtowers. Walks allow you to discover the ochre earth from the Salettes water body, an artificial lake of more than 2 hectares with a sandy beach, ideal for swimming and fishing (classified in 2nd category, rich in black-bass). Mormoiron is also a favourite place for cycling, with course for road cycling and mountain biking, allowing you to enjoy nature and fresh air.
