A turreted 18th century chateau which has been lovingly restored and retains all the charm of a chateau, whilst also being a comfortable villa with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The property is accompanied by a south facing 11 x 4.5m heated swimming pool, with outdoor solar shower.
At the Chateau Le Bouge, you will feel at home because you are! Live the unique experience to own an entire castle for your vacation. This year you don't have to share the pool! The swimming has besides an amazing view on your 3 acres property. You will be welcome by an English native speaker lady leaving in the area. Anything you wish for, she can organize it for you (at extra cost). The chateau enjoys a tranquil and relaxing location and is within easy reach of many small villages, where one can buy croissants and baguettes from the local boulangerie. Small presents, such as a good bottle of champagne and wine, will wait for you upon your arrival.
The bustling town of Marmande with its hypermarkets, retail stores and weekly markets are all within a 15 minutes-drive, and the Bordeaux vineyards are within easy reach - St. Emilion area is less than an hour away. There are many beautiful castles and medieval bastides (fortified towns) nearby, and the proximity to the city of Bordeaux, the regional capital, with its centuries-old history and rich architectural heritage is a major advantage, Bordeaux offers all the luxury services, shops, restaurants and theatres that one could wish for.
