Poitevins is a Character 16th Century Stone House which has 5 Bedrooms all with their own En Suites. 2 Bedrooms are on the Ground Floor and 3 are on the First Floor. The Property has a private drive for several cars and sits on 4 acres with a wooded area, stream and 2 outside terraces. We have a lazy spa for guests to enjoy and a BBQ. A large family lounge and open plan Kitchen /Diner are ideal for family and friends gathering enjoying the fresh food sourced from local markets and not to mention the wine!!
We bought our little slice of France in 2017 and have enjoyed visiting with family for holidays over the years and living for a while. Whilst coming to our home and the genera area we have experienced some of the best tastes, smells and sights. It is like going back in time and it depends what yu are looking for but locals are friendly and these small villages come to life between late June and early September. We hope you enjoy this outdoors way of life. The house lends itself to big parties so you have the option to self cater.
Saint Astier De Duras is about 8km from the Historical Town of Duras boasting a 12th century Chateau. During the summer the Chateau is host to events, light shows and an amazing place to visit for all ages. Small bars and restaurants are close by, summer Night markets, live music events. Eymet is 20 minutes away and a bastde town which has an amazing atmosphere. Cocktail Bar, day and night markets and some wonderful restaurants to explore. Bergerac is 30 minutes away, jump on a boat and see the landscape from water. The airport is here so not a great distance to drive if flying in. Other places nearby include Saint Emilion, Saint Foye La Grade, Soumensac picnic on the hill (summer) Bordeaux and many more. You will need a car to make the most of the area.
