A tastefully decorated open-plan kitchen and sitting-room with balcony offers a light, airy and spacious living area. The sitting-room is equipped with a flat screen T.V. featuring U.K. and French channels, TNT and Sky. There is a Bose Soundlink. The fully equipped kitchen with island stand has a full-size oven with grill, induction hob with extractor fan, micro-wave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a Nespresso machine, cafetiere, electric kettle, toaster, food processors and raclette machine.

We discovered Ax four years ago and were charmed by the town and friendliness of the people. Within easy access to two airports – both serviced by Ryanair and the train station, it is an affordable escape for family reunions. The new by-pass around the town which opens on the 9 December 2016 will facilitate road access and reduce the journey time to Andorra for duty free shopping. Ax is our home from home.

This area provides activities for all seasons, ages and interests. Winter sports include alpine, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. A haven for mountain biking, road cycling and hikers. The Spring and Summer months off an abundance of flora and fauna in the National Wildlife Reserve. There are rivers and mountain lakes for fishing, canoeing and rafting. Other places of interest include Les Grottes de Niaux, the Pre-historic Art Park at Tarascon, the Wolf Sanctuary and Lordat Castle. The vibrant mountain town of Ax is a well-known spa resort with public hot springs and popular for cures. A wide selection of restaurants and cafes ranging from haute-cuisine to relaxed, family dining. An open market in the town square twice a week displays many regional specialities.
