We are Adrien and Vera Rijgersberg. Adrien is originally from the Westland region south of The Hague, Vera's roots are in Rotterdam. Since the mid-1990s, we have lived in beautiful Zeeland in the south-west of the Netherlands. Our dream finally came true in June 2024, when we bought Repos à Ribérac, an established and charming bed and breakfast in Dordogne in the southwest of France. In the years before, previous owners had beautifully restored this 1840s historic mansion with love and passion, retaining much of its original charm and features. We have been travelling to France for more than 30 years and are in love with the country, the culture, the people, the atmosphere, the food and drink, the nature, the varied landscape, the villages, the towns, everything really. And in that fantastic environment, we want to create a place where local and international travellers can stay, a place where guests are warmly welcomed and provided with clean, comfortable accommodation, where you feel at home and where, above all, the stay would be as enjoyable as it can be.

Welcome to Repos à Ribérac—A rare example of a bourgeois townhouse. Originally built in 1840, the B&B is now fully renovated, yet has retained the handmade curved staircase, oak floorboards, and traditional Perigordian floor. This spacious home provides guests with the choice of four rooms or a suite, all with an ensuite bath and/or shower.

Repos à Ribérac is located in the centre of town, close to shops, bars, and restaurants. Ribérac is known as the capital of foie gras. In town you'll find the Notre-Dame, Saint-Martial and Saint-Pierre-de-Faye churches. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, cycling, and canoeing. In the wider area you'll find lovely towns and villages like Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and Brantôme, or bigger cities like Bergerac, Perigueux and Bordeaux. A little farther to the east are famous attractions like Lascaux, Sarlat and Rocamadour.
