We have 2 stylish and fully equipped Villas nestled among the Sunflower fields with a large heated salt water pool available for our guests. Each has been extensively refurbished in 2018 whilst remaining in keeping with a countryside house with over 200 years of rural history. Our grounds amount to 2 hectares of agricultural evolution and feature a small wood, streamlined fields and fruit trees which provide crops from Cherries in June to Walnuts in October.
Villa Duroux represents a change of life for the owners Richard and Aleksandra who moved to France in 2017 to follow their dream of the country life in France. Having worked in the oil industry for a combined 40 years, it was time to take on a fresh challenge and after viewing more than 70 properties , Villa Duroux in Montagrier became the new home for them and their two young daughters Sophie and Sienna.
Villa Duroux is at the heart of Dordogne and perfectly positioned for just about everything that the region has to offer. Brantome, the Venice of Dordogne is a short ride away with its picturesque setting and beautiful market on Fridays. There are a number of Chateaux to visit along with the major towns of Riberac and historic Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne. Villa Duroux is also well positioned for and can help organise all of the following activities, Golf (20 mins) , Kayaking, Fishing,Mountain Biking, Horse riding and a host of picturesque countryside and riverside walks, all practically on our doorstep. Finally, if it’s a beach you are after, then there is one at Lac Le Jamaye, just 20 minutes drive from Villa Duroux Some of The most popular markets in Dordogne can be found just a few miles from Villa Duroux, Brantome, Riberac, Verteillac.
