14 Granite Henge holiday bungalow is in a great location on the South East Cornish coast with lots to explore nearby. Bus stop at entrance. On our doorstep.... The bustling historic harbour towns of Looe and Polperro are both within 2 miles. Talland Bay beach just 1.5 miles away. They offer a large variety of; gift & clothes shops, pubs some with live music, cafe's, bakeries, tasty dining places - locally caught seafood. Many fishing and sail trips available, not to forget crabbing in the harbour and enjoying East Looe wide sandy beach, safe for swimming with all the town facilities behind making it an ideal place to relax all day, with anything you need close by. At Hannafore in West Looe you have beautiful scenic views from the promenade and out upon St. George Island, boat trips from Looe to the Island. For rock pool ramblers and seashell collectors Hannafore beach is the place to visit. Polperro harbour town is picturesque steeped back in time and has a rich smuggling history. The sandy beach reveals itself at low tide with a natural pool in the rocks and an old smuggling cave. The place is truly unique with its winding streets and wonky old houses. Many historic pubs and dining places to sample & gift shops to visit. Talland Bay is just 1.5 mile down the road. It has two sheltered bays to explore. its safe for swimming and popular with swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling and rock pooling. There is a cafe’ at each bay. The Coastal path walk between Looe & Polperro through Talland Bay is outstanding, just stunning.. not to be missed. It’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ("AONB"). Explore the hidden bays between Talland bay and Hannafore in Looe. Grab the bus from Granite Henge entranc to Looe or Polperro and walk the full coastal path total of 5.5 miles and bus back home. There are many beautiful local area walks, free maps available in our bungalow. 30 mins from The Eden Project. Fowey is close by, easy access to all of Cornwall.
