The house is originally a family home on a croft(own land) near to beach and historic sites such as ancient dwellings (black houses) an ancient broch and standing stones Very rural place on the west side of the island very close to the sea. A peaceful and relaxing environment where you can experience a different way of life. House has a great deal of information about activities, culture and history. It is very well stocked with everything you require
My family are from the island and maintaining my connections is important to me. I use the house a lot myself and am constantly trying to upgrade and improve the property. I am retired but was a social worker and also happy to organise relaxing retreats, which I host. Its important to me that people enjoy their time in the house
The area is a typical crofting area(small areas of land owned by every house) There are 6 villages making up the area of Carloway. Many beaches -Dal Mor and Dail Beag and historic sites nearby -Callanish Stones and Carloway Broch and great walking, surfing, fishing, cycling (Hebridean Way There is an 18 mìle coastal path from the village. The nearest shop is in the village.It is very well supplied.
