Heighington is a small village in the unspoilt countryside of Teesdale, in County Durham, 15 miles from Barnard Castle, 20 miles from the magnificent cathedral city of Durham. Consisting of a small group of traditional cottages, four pubs and a Norman Church, and boasting lovely views of the surrounding Dales countryside, Heighington is a great rural base for this part of the northern Dales.
