Siesta Mar Chalet Park This is a well laid out site with 42 chalets, the majority of which are privately owned. The chalets are set in small groups around lawned areas and bordered by shrubs and roses with concrete paths to each chalet. No chalet is more than 20 yards from the car park; the site is also completely level making it ideal for those with walking difficulties and those slightly disabled. There is a small Tesco Express selling all the essentials within 100 yards of the site. There is access to a quiet part of the beach within 700 yards or it is a 10-minute walk to the main seafront or village centre. This is a wonderful place for dogs & their owners: miles of sandy beach – just a short walk away where dogs are able to run off lead (please check signs)! North Norfolk has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK. The wide beaches are perfect for sunbathers, swimmers and those looking for plenty of space to play. The beach in Mundesley is a ‘Blue Flag’ beach where children can paddle safely in tidal pools. Within a twenty miles radius from the village you will find Norfolk’s famous wide sandy beaches such as those at Holkham, Wells, Brancaster – the setting for pop videos and movies. You can explore beautiful small forests, saltmarshes and The Broads. As you travel around the area you will come across more pretty villages such as Trunch, Southrepps, Northrepps and Overstrand, bustling market towns (North Walsham, Aylsham, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt), secluded sandy beaches, wealth of fine medieval churches and acres of unspoilt countryside. Cromer and Sheringham have been popular seaside resorts for almost 200 years and offer a relaxed pace of life for those looking for a really laid back holiday. Both towns also have a Blue European Flag for their clean beaches and bathing waters. Visit Cromer Zoo which opened in 2008.
