My family have lived in Mellon Udrigle for generations. 3A was originally built for Alice Macrae my Great Aunt, who was the district nurse. She lived and worked in the area all her life and was born in the barn behind the house. When she passed away the house was left to my mother Mary, then to me. The house has now been extended and fully renovated providing luxury self catering accommodation. I spent most of my summer holidays here and when I had my own children we continued the tradition. I can't think of a more beautiful place for my children to run around and be free. We spent days building dams, sandcastles and playing on the rocks and beach. We would go fishing in the bay or off the rocks. Many days were spent sitting on the "Big Rock" reading books, going for walks, riding our bikes or looking at the seal colony close by. I'm sure your family will love this place just as much as we do, it is truely special. Mellon Udrigle has been voted as one of the best beaches in the UK and is "heaven on earth" as described by Andrew Marr.
