We were left goodies on arrival so there was plenty to have for breakfast. High end hand soap/cream definitely added that special something.

No.6 is a Grade 11* listed building c.1600 featuring exposed beams, stone walls & has plenty of character. It has a wonderful quiet energy yet is located centrally in the beautiful old town of Stamford where you can walk to all of the local restaurants and shops within minutes. The historic Burghley house is just over 1.5 miles away. There are 4 floors to the house including the basement which houses the (new) kitchen (Jun22). The house feels homely and includes a Sage barista coffee machine, laundry facilities, flat screen Smart TV (with an additional TV in the master bedroom), a desk for workspace and free Wi-fi. The beds all have top quality cotton sheets and luxury throws to ensure you feel pampered and comfortable. The master bedroom & bathroom are on the top floor. The other 2 bedrooms are on the first floor with an adjacent additional separate WC & handbasin. The stairs to the top floor are quite narrow so bear this in mind if this would be a problem for you or any of your party. This is a very old house so it does mean that some of the ceilings are quite low & it is spread across 4 floors. If you have limited mobility issues (or young children that require stair gates), then this house is probably not for you but do feel free to message me if you have any questions & I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
It is my pleasure to share this beautiful historic house with our guests. It is a unique building with all the quirks & charms to go with it :) I live very close by so am on hand should you need anything, but I generally tend to leave guests with their own privacy. My office is located by the front door, so you may hear me pop in & out at times. I do my best to keep appointments separate from guests bookings but if there is a clash, please do know that I do not come in to the main house & shall not disturb you. Please do let me know if you have any particular needs for your stay & I will do my best to accommodate you. Best wishes. Sam
Stamford has a wealth of places to dine out from the well known and popular George Hotel to the Tobie Norris or the Stamford Wine Bar next door. I leave details of places to visit for my guests to browse through should you need inspiration! The lovely Rutland Water is only a 5 minute drive away and the historic Burghley House is 1.5 miles from the house and well worth a visit. Parking is not included within the booking, but a private space can be arranged (for 1 car only) for a small additional charge upon request so please message me if this is of interest. Otherwise parking is in the public car park which is a few minutes walk away for a daily charge. Prices available upon request.
