It was idyllic - such a peaceful spot, and the traditional gypsy caravan was so charming! All that I'd hoped for. Plus the people who ran it were so kind and helpful when I had a few problems. Highly recommend this place if you really want to 'get...

Magical location, so peaceful. Simple but cosy and comfortable caravan. Amazing views from the caravan and beauitful woodland to explore right on the doorstep. The owners were very friendly and helpful

It's a beautiful location, stunning views. Beware that the lanes to reach the yurt are very narrow, overgrown and steep. It's worth it but challenging. The yurt is very spacious, lovely setup and homely. Setting up the fire outside as the sun sets...

Prachtige omgeving, rust! Even helemaal 'back to basic'. Zelfs onze kinderen hebben ervan genoten!

Company info

We are a small community of people brought together by a love of music, challenges and nature. Since 2004 we have run The Bimble Inn a mobile stage and bar, at festivals and private events . For the last 10 years we have had the absolute pleasure and stress of hosting our own festival of music and entertainment. We have always been 100% solar powered in our venue, our festival and our lives. This growing knowledge of off grid power led us to start Bimble Solar, a company dedicated to helping others live sustainably.

Property info

Aldridge Mill is an old working mill that finished grinding corn in the 1930’s. It is nestled deep in a sheltered valley accessed by windy lanes from the A361 which travels across the top of mid Devon. We have a wild camp site (where you bring your own tent) and also a beautiful Yurt and Bow Top Gypsy Caravan. Please select the room type you would like to book.

Neighborhood info

We are very blessed by the nature surrounding us. It is timeless and untouched, full of the beauty and charm of England. The valley is heavily wooded and criss crossed by waterways, with walks for every level of adventure and plenty of hidden wild dipping spots. We are situated between two small villages, Oakford and Stoodleigh which each have a lovely local pub. There are plenty of charming villages all within easy reach and with many good food options all around. The small town of Bampton is 4 miles away with independent cafes, butchers, bakers and a great local fresh produce shop. Exmoor and the river Exe are just above us and we are perfectly placed to be able to explore the sandy surf beaches in the west, the jurassic coast to the south and the wild north Devon coast above us.
