We are Chris & Cath, and we purchased the property on 5th June 2024. Since then, we have been carefully refurbishing and upgrading the guest house to create a comfortable and welcoming space for our guests. We are currently still in the process of improvements, with the top floor now completed and work underway on the first floor. Our aim is to create a true home-from-home experience, combining comfort, character, and thoughtful touches throughout. We take great pride in what we do and very much look forward to welcoming and getting to know our guests.

The Oliver’s Guest House is a charming three-storey Victorian property, dating back to around 1880, located on Whitecross Road in the beautiful city of Hereford, within the Wye Valley. Just a 10-minute stroll from the city centre, guests can easily explore local shops, historic sights, and everything Hereford has to offer. While we are currently undergoing a period of thoughtful upgrades, we continue to provide a warm, home-from-home atmosphere. All rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, offering a relaxing space to unwind. Guests can also enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast in our newly refurbished breakfast room, served during the week and on alternate weekends. A local pub is less than a minute’s walk away, with a variety of takeaways nearby including fish and chips, Chinese, and Indian options. Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Aldi are all within easy walking distance, and on-street parking is usually available outside the property. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.

Guests love the convenient location and the variety of attractions right on the doorstep. The beautiful River Wye is within walking distance, offering scenic walks and excellent fishing opportunities. In the immediate vicinity, there are plenty of local amenities including a traditional pub, popular takeaways, an Indian restaurant, and a well-known fish and chip shop, as well as supermarkets all just a short stroll away. The nearby Hereford Cider Museum is a unique local attraction that many guests enjoy visiting. Hereford city centre is only a 10-minute walk away and offers a range of shops, cafés, and restaurants, along with historic highlights such as Hereford Cathedral, home to the world-famous Mappa Mundi and the historic Chained Library. Guests can also enjoy entertainment at The Courtyard Theatre, all within easy walking distance, while Hereford Racecourse is just a short taxi ride away.
