Alpine Lodge is a truly superb property in an idyllic, lake side location. The historic town of Kings Lynn is only a 15 minute drive away. Other nearby places to visit include Castle Rising Castle with its impressive Norman keep and the priory ruins at Castle Acre. Travelling along the road to North Norfolk are the many wonderful beaches including Hunstanton and Holkham. On the way you can visit the royal residence of Sandringham House, Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall, Titchwell nature reserve and many quaint and picturesque towns and fishing villages. In the winter months this part of Norfolk is visited by coaches full of tourists who have come to see the internationally famous Thursford Spectacular Christmas Show. The stately homes at Sandringam and Holkham host Christmas markets. Their interiors are decorated beautifully and the grounds at Sandringham are lit up at night with illuminated walks. The Sheringham Steam Railway offers Christmas on board and visits on the train from Santa.
