Achachork is a picturesque small village dating back to the early1800's. It is very quiet and peaceful. With a bronze age fort roughly 4000 years old locate above the junction used to access the village. There is a farm that has a small café and a herd of highland cows (hairy coos) that you can pet, feed and get your picture with, This is also located below the old fort. It is an ideal location for you to base your Skye adventure and tour all Skye's most popular landmarks. It is located with in a 5 min drive to the main town of Portree
