ANVIL COTTAGE IS SET IN THE BEAUTIFUL SHROPSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE 2 MILES FROM THE TOWN OF WHITCHURCH. THE COTTAGE WAS ORIGINALLY AN OLD DELAPIDATED BLACKSMITHS,HENCE THE NAME,ANVIL COTTAGE.THE SHROPSHIRE UNION CANAL IS 100 YARDS AWAY,HERE ONE CAN ENJOY THE WALKS ALONG THE TOW PATH.WHIXALL MOSS IS ALSO QUITE CLOSE BY AND IS AN AREA OF SPECIAL SCIENTIFIC INTEREST. ALDERFORD LAKE IS A 3 MILE DRIVE AWAY WHERE YOU CAN PAY TO USE THE WILD SWIMMING FACILITIES AND THERE IS ALSO A FAB CAFE ONSITE. IN THE SUMMER TIME,FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE MOTORBIKE FANATICS, HUNDREDS OF MOTORBIKES ASSEMBLE AT THE MIDWAY TRUCK STOP TO ADMIRE EACH OTHERS BIKES! THAT'S ABOUT 4 MILES AWAY. BANGOR ON DEE RACE COURSE IS A GREAT DAY OUT ALSO WHICH IS ABOUT 10 MILES FROM THE COTTAGE. ANVIL COTTAGE IS GREAT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHOSE ONLY WISH IS A BIT OF PEACE AND QUIET. FREE Wifi IS AVAILABLE AT THE COTTAGE.
