This charming, detached, and airy cottage is perfectly situated in the heart of Kirkby Stephen’s vibrant market town. Designed with comfort and coziness in mind, the property offers a serene escape. The large ground-floor en-suite bedroom can be tailored to your preference as either a super king or twin setup, complete with a television, hairdryer, and fresh bedding and towels for your convenience. In addition, there is a beautifully styled ground-floor bathroom featuring a luxurious walk-in shower. A bespoke, handcrafted staircase leads to the expansive open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. Here, a wood-burning stove creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking or as a romantic hideaway. A large television ensures entertainment for every moment of your stay.

Hi, my name is Peter, and I will be hosting you during your stay at the Bandroom cottage. I live and work as a joiner here in Kirkby Stephen. I decided to branch out in the hospitality sector and to scale down my joinery business. I converted my workshop into this holiday accommodation, which I hope you will enjoy. I enjoy the great outdoors - walking the local paths and moors and cycling the amazing network of bridleways and byways here in the local area. There is so much to see and do straight from the door. Hope you enjoy exploring as much as I have over the last forty years. I am looking forward to welcoming you to this beautiful part of the country.

Kirkby Stephen is a traditional Cumbrian market town, set in the beautiful Eden Valley, in close proximity to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District Nation Park. Awarded ‘Walkers Welcome’ status with Wainright’s Coast to Coast Walk, Lady Anne’s Way and the Walney to Wear cycle route running through the town. It makes it an ideal stop off point, or as a base to enjoy the surrounding countryside. There is much to offer the outdoor enthusiast; with rich wildlife and nature on the doorstep. The town boasts many historic buildings, cobbled yards, quaint corners and interesting shops. A walk along the River Eden to the natural beauty spot locally known as Stenkrith Falls is a must for any visitor to the town There is a varied calendar of events with activities for all tastes throughout the season, details of which can be found on the Kirkby Stephen Website.
