Bankhouse B&B was originally an early1800's large house built for the new railway manager. In the very early 1900's it was converted into a bank, which closed in 2017. Since then we have carried out an extensive refurbishment to make sure your stay is personal and interesting. Each of the three en-suite bedrooms are comfortably set out with TV, coffee/tea making facilities, toiletries and hairdryer. There is also a lounge/breakfast room. Please feel free to use the lounge to watch TV, chill, chat, work, read or enjoy a relaxing drink with your fellow guests. We cannot sell alcohol but provide everything you need for you to enjoy your own purchases. Please note we do not allow any takeaway food or meals to be taken in and eaten in our lounge or in the rooms. Please leave tidy for others to enjoy and we will take care of the rest. We are happy to make you a coffee or tea to enjoy in the lounge.
Bankhouse B&B is a relaxed and welcoming bed and breakfast, where Eileen and Jim will do there best to ensure your stay is just the way you want it. We can be around to help you with any information you may need on the area and attractions or if you prefer you can do your own thing and have as little contact as you feel happy and comfortable with. Let us know how you would like us to host in order for you to relax during your stay. All our rooms are cleaned to the highest standard by ourselves with great attention to detail and will do all we can to make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one. We enjoy being outdoors, walking and cycling on the Speyside Way and exploring the surrounding countryside.
The beautiful village of Aberlour lies along the Speyside Way on the banks of the River Spey There are loads to do and see, including walking, cycling, wildlife, fishing, canoeing and of course whisky (being in the very heart of the best malt whisky producers). Not forgetting some fantastic placed to eat and sample some local delights and all washed down with a sample or two of that local water!
