We are retired and travel between our home here and also in France. For this reason we only offer our spare ensuite guest room part of the year. We have an interest in vintage fairs, interior design, and very sociable breakfasts! Any persons wishing a latish breakfast are very welcome to join us at the dining table for chat. If you prefer to be quiet or wish to go out early, we will lay out breakfast things in the breakfast area for you to help yourself as suits. Please note we do not have a licence to cook food. We offer only an optional light breakfast for those who wish, consisting of cereals and toast with a choice of toppings. There is no charge. Our interior is unusual in many aspects and is a mixture of Vintage and Industrial. We hope you will enjoy our ideas.

Consequently we do not accept pets ( nor children ) The booking should be for max 2 Adults only. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LOCATION ON MAP BEFORE BOOKING: We are in Bowbridge Road NG24. Please be happy with this so that it does not reflect negatively in your review later. Its not in the central shopping area but you can walk to the market square in around 15 - 20 minutes. There is a supermarket and chippy opposite. We also offer a free parking space 5.5m x 2.5m so as to avoid town centre parking fees. Not suitable for large trucks. PLEASE BE AWARE SO AS NOT TO NEGATIVELY REVIEW US LATER : there are two steps down from the bedroom into the ensuite bathroom but a handrail is fixed for your safety. A sensor lamp lights the steps at night . The space is small but has been described by Building Regs as an "excellent use of space". We have provided this facility as a great alternative to your sharing the main bathroom. We are in our 70's and have no problem at all. . However, if you are less abled, we advise you not to book. Also please note the Bedroom is on the first floor so there is a flight of steps to climb. PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THERE CAN BE NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES FROM THIS PROPERTY! We have no set up for it and no electric cables can be run through windows for insurance purposes. Just ring the doorbell when you get here. No admittance before 3pm (for cleaning). Thanks. Central to most places and very close to the hospital if visiting. On a busy local road during the daytime but quiet at night. The room is at the back of the house so not affected by traffic. There is a brand new leisure centre about 12 minutes walk away which includes a swimming pool. 15-20 minutes walk to town centre for cinema and theatre plus a very good selection of shops and banks, plus many restaurants and coffee shops. Newark is a very pretty Georgian town with cobbled alleyways and tudor buildings. A Market operates most days in the square. The River Trent flows through the centre with the big castle ruins overlooking. Boat trips run in the summer and there is a great riverside walk. Local parks host rivers and lakes. We are also very convenient for the International Antiques Fair or other specialist shows at the showground. Just a few minutes drive will take you to the A1N and A1S with the A46 providing easy access to Lincoln or Nottingham. Many places of heritage and historical beauty are situated in the surrounding areas. Please check out our location in Bowbridge Road . It's unfair to be marked down in a later review if a guest thinks we are in the main shopping area. It is quieter where we are and we can offer you free parking.
