Beggar's Lane cottage is Grade II listed and built circa 1720 and retaining many original features, including an Inglenook fireplace with gas stove, and it is light and airy. Two similar sized bedrooms with great views of Winchester Cathedral and over the City. There is a small enclosed and private courtyard back garden. The wi-fi is fast. There will be fresh towels, dressing gowns, tea and coffee for you on your arrival. A short walk to the City centre, with it's many bars, shops, restaurants and other attractions. Located in an elevated and quiet street.

Dotty and Nick live round the corner and have run a Bed & Breakfast for the last 10 years. One of us can show you around and leave you to enjoy your stay.

Free guest parking is available just let us know if you are coming by car. The cottage is a 10 minute walk to Winchester train station, there is a direct line to London Waterloo (Approx 1 hour) and Clapham Junction. 5 minutes down the road is the bus station and there are regular coaches to and from Heathrow Airport and London Victoria with National Express coahes. A local taxi number is Wintax Car, they also have an app. There is a Tesco Extra Supermaket open til 10pm and a bigger Sainsbury's supermarket is open until 8pm in the City centre. Ocado does deliver. Deliveroo operates in Winchester. There are excellent restaurants (Rick Stein, Brasserie Blanc, Chesil Rectory,The Black Rat, River Cottage Canteen, Wagamama...) and bars and pubs (The Willow Tree, The Black Boy, The Wyckham Arms...) and shops in Winchester - all within easy walking distance
