We are set in a village 6 miles south of Durham City. We are now dog friendly and there are many lovely walks on the outskirts of the village. The Dairy has a very large fenced garden which is great for dogs as well as children. We have lovely friendly lamas on site along with our goat Josephine who are always happy to be hand fed. Although The Dairy is now close to a new housing estate it does still have plenty of privacy. Audio noise from the A1M when in the garden.

Within walking distance from The Dairy there are 3 good pubs and several others in the surrounding villages and Durham City. In Coxhoe there is a coop, chemist, hair salon, award winning butcher, cafe and gift shops. There is a RC Church, Church of England and Methodist church in the village. Beamish Museum is a must visit, along with Seaham Harbour, Durham Cathedral, Durham indoor market, Tynemouth beach, Bowes Museum, Adventure Vally (for young children) Sedgefield racecourse, Ramside Spa (booking essential) Seaham Spa (booking essential) Metro Centre.
