Brent Top is a warm and welcoming apartment close to the centre of Penrith. Only a short walk to all the town has to offer to its visitors whether that be a walk up the beacon to enjoy the views or a sunset or the many shops,bars and eateries. The apartment is located on the first floor within a traditional sandstone house in the new streets conservation area. Access is via a set of external sandstone stairs which leads you into a cosy living room offering wonderful views over the town and its famous castle and onto the fells. The living room leads off to a bathroom, fully fitted kitchen and 2 double bedrooms all decorated to create a calm and enjoyable stay. In addition to the two double beds there is the option to use a pull out single trundle bed for an extra guest. Externally the apartment offers a sandstone patio area which guests can enjoy and also parking on the driveway for two cars.

Hello after moving to Penrith to be close to family and finding that we are loving living here we realised that we had the opportunity to share parts of that experience with others. Even though we are new to hosting we felt that we could create a lovely space (and hopefully have)where people could have a relaxing stay and a base to explore all that the area has to offer. We particularly enjoy an early morning swim in Ullswater when it’s peaceful and beautiful, a lovely way to start the day. Enjoying the fells and the surrounding areas is something that we are hoping to do a bit more of as we have enjoyed the few we have done so far.

Only a stones throw from town with access to the bus station and train station there is plenty of opportunities to travel and see more of the north lakes. If wanting to stay close to town there are plenty of places to eat out just a short walk away. We have a small museum at the end of the shopping street and also the beacon walk if you fancy something more outdoorsy if you’re lucky you may even spot some of our red squirrels playing there.
