Our holiday home has always been a place of calm, laughter, and much-needed breathing space, and we’re delighted to now be opening it up for others to enjoy. My husband and I both work incredibly hard within the healthcare setting, and like many people, we’ve learned just how important it is to step away from the demands of everyday life and truly switch off. This little corner of the Norfolk Broads has become our escape — a place where time slows down, the air feels fresher, and life feels beautifully simple again. From the moment we arrive, we feel the stresses of the working week melt away. There’s something incredibly grounding about being close to the water, and that’s what first drew us here. We love spending our days outdoors, making the most of everything the Broads has to offer. We bring our own paddle boards with us, but there are also kayaks available to rent locally, which makes it easy to head out for a gentle paddle along the waterways. Some of our favourite memories are spent gliding along the Broads, taking in the scenery, spotting wildlife, and — more often than not — paddling with a clear destination in mind: the nearest pub.
