Our two properties, Butterfly and Bumblebee cottages are older than local records but are at least 200 years old. They have oak beams, wonky walls, tapestries, patchwork quilts and period furniture throughout. The houses are ideal for a cosy getaway for up to 7 people in Butterfly, 5 people in Bumblebee or up to 12 over both houses. Due to using Green Energy UK, our houses run on 100% renewable energy. The cottages are in Copt Heath Croft, a quiet cul-de-sac in one of the safest areas of the UK.
We are a family of three. Katherine manages bookings and changeovers, Matt sorts the maintenance and renovations of the old properties and grounds and baby Elizabeth shovels the pebbles on the drive.
About a mile down the road is Knowle, a beautiful bustling village, large enough to have everything you want for a short stay but small enough to get to know your way around. The cottage is near greenery, a huge golf course and canals. Right outside there are extensive bus links and it is only 10 minutes walk from the vibrant village centre of Knowle and 10mins drive from the NEC and Airport. Solihull is a large town just 4 minutes bus journey away with everything you could possibly need. Short drives will get you to various National Trust sites, Warwick castle, two rail mainlines, animal and donkey sanctuaries as well as lots of country walks. About 40 minutes away there is Stratford upon Avon and in the other direction Birmingham city centre.
