Packed full of features, ‘Castleview’ is a beautifully presented luxury home, worthy of Grand Designs itself, and has held a Scottish Tourist Board Five star award for accommodation since 2018. This spacious early 19th century barn has been imaginatively converted and forms an independent part of the working homesteads overall Steading conversion project by husband and wife team Anthony and Caroline. The three bedroomed property exudes quality throughout with luxurious accommodation on offer for 6*+ guests. Sleeping arrangements can be tailored to single, twin or double occupancy with each of the three ensuite bedrooms being furnished with full size, luxury zip & link divan beds. *Either of the two largest bedrooms can be further adapted to a triple occupancy (1+1+1 or 2+1) layout for a 7th guest if required.

'Castleview' is the centre piece of a group of individually detached stone farm buildings dating back to 1832 and which, together, originally formed the Newton Farm steadings. Today, the traditions of Newton Farm continue through the work of the current owners, husband and wife team Anthony & Caroline, and who reside in the quaint but fully modernised farms wee Bothy. With the old barn conversion now complete and standing proudly as 'Castleview', the couples long term ambitions will now focus on completing the final phase of their renovation project. The original 32 metre (100ft) long cattle shed will be transformed into a terrace of luxury lodges, each offering twin or double occupancy, ensuite facilities and a first floor lounge area with views over the adjacent open farm land and countryside. The couple fully appreciate that nobody wishes to look out of their holiday accommodation and see a building site next door. Consequently, raked gravelled areas, a manicured lawn, faux windows and doors and colourful potted plants adorn the building during restoration.
