The cottage is attached to the main house where we run The Old Rectory Bed and Breakfast from. Cedar Tree Cottage has undergone a complete refurbishment during 2015 and has been finished to a high standard with all modern amenities. It also has its own private garden area with patio and is available to rent on either a weekly basis or for short breaks. The holiday cottage is perfect for those seeking a retreat in a peaceful rural location with good access to the surrounding area. We are located on the edge of Clocaenog Forest in the Hiraethog area of North Wales and are close to Llyn Brenig and the Alwen Reservoir. For those who are more adventurous we are just a short drive from the Snowdonia National Park, the North Wales coast, the Dee Valley, Ruthin, Llangollen, Mold, Chester and Wrexham. We have on our doorstep an amazing range of activities, things to do and places to see. Cedar Tree Cottage comprises an open plan sitting and kitchen area with wet room style bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is a kingsize double bedroom with dressing area. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating which along with the hot water is powered by an air source heat pump.

We opened the main house for Bed and Breakfast in 2009, with Cedar Tree Cottage having it's first guests in summer 2015. Catherine has worked full time in the business since 2011. We pride ourselves on offering a high standard of accomodation to our guests along with a warm welcome and a passion for helping others get the best out of their visit to the area. Catherine is keen golfer, being a member at Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club and is also a Walking Guide leader should you need some local knowledge on exploring the local area on foot. Catherine is a Tourism Ambassador for Denbighshire and is more than happy to assist if you would like any further information on attractions or activities in the area.

Cedar Tree Cottage is in a great position for exploring North Wales and further afield. We are situated on the eastern edge of Clocaenog Forest which is part of the Hiraethog region which is a stunning and unspoilt landscape of rolling heather moor, deep forest and quiet lakes in the heart of North Wales.
