Poets Cottage Tanyfoel is a characterful and charming mid terrace, former slate miners cottage in Eglwysfach near Machynlleth only 30 minutes outside of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It has a welcoming and homely feel with a woodburning stove in the living room to keep you warm and cosy. It has been newly renovated with a lovely bright kitchen. It is ideal for couples, and small groups of friends wishing to explore the local countryside, coastline, and mountains. Ynyshir RSBP nature reserve and restaurant is just a stones throw away. The bedroom is cosy and relaxing and can be enjoyed on those Welsh rainy days. For brighter weather, we have a hidden haven of green wild untamed greenery; the secure terraced garden at the back provides an enclosed sanctuary of natural beauty, with views across the hills. Well behaved and toilet trained pets welcome (2 dogs maximum).

The Ynyshir RSBP nature reserve and restaurant is just a stones throw away from the cottage. Also within walking distance is the beautiful Dyfi Furnace waterfall. There is a variety of blue water beaches along the coastline, but our particular favourite is Ynyslas with its stunning sand dunes, just a 15 minute drive from the cottage. We are also only 30 minutes outside of the Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park by car, and 10 minutes from the quaint town of Machynlleth.
