Plawfield Cottage is quaint, a little bit quirky and full of charm. Dating from the 18th century it is to be found in the historic Fenland village of Upwell, Norfolk in a quiet, private secluded spot overlooking open fields to the rear. The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to five guests. Upwell has pubs, convenience stores, butchers, take-aways and roadside veg stalls. It is the perfect base for trips both inland and coastal in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk or further afield.

Upwell is in the Fens, a rare serene landscape famous for its big skies, waterways and wildlife. The nearest towns are March and Downham Market, about 20 mins drive. We are in easy reach of the beautiful historic towns of Ely, Cambridge, Kings Lynn and Bury St Edmunds. Sandringham and the beaches of the spectacular Norfolk coast are 45 mins to an hour. The world famous Ouse washes and WWT Welney are only 20 mins away . Local canoe hire is available in the village. A car is advisable for this location. There is private parking for two cars - three at a pinch but you would have to move them around to get in and out easily. Request before booking if you are allowed a pet and what type you are traveling with. A 30.00 pound fee for a pet per stay will be charged and collected on arrival. If you have booked to bring a dog or other pet with you please note that this is accepted on the basis that they will not be allowed upstairs or on any furniture. Also that they will never be left unattended on the property at any time.Any damage found, and any animal hair or unacceptable marks found on furnishings or carpets will be billed to you. We suggest you bring your pets own bedding.
