“The welcome basket was a very nice touch. Located in the centre of Ballater, it was only a hop and skip to enjoy the shops, the restaurants and local points of interest. Well placed for most activities; a lot of choice of things to do.”

From its painted picket fence and fully stocked cottage garden to its granite open hearth and log burner, Craigen Cottage, in the picturesque Royal Deeside village of Ballater, offers a very special all year round holiday destination. Built around 1901,Craigen Cottage is a charming, detached Victorian holiday home set in a beautiful, picket-fenced, mature cottage garden, complete with climbing roses, clematis and fruit trees . With beautifully landscaped and enclosed  front and back gardens with plenty garden furniture for alfresco dining during the summer months. Craigen Cottage is pleased to welcome  one well-behaved family pet by separate arrangement.
Having strong family connections to Ballater and living in nearby Aberdeen means we get tremendous pleasure from welcoming people to our holiday home so they to can enjoy the beautiful village of Ballater. It really is a magical place.
