A unique Bed & Breakfast converted from a farm building that is over 150 years old. We are based on the beautiful, small and tranquil Crookabeck Farm which is home to Pure Bred Herdwicks. We are a mile from the centre of Patterdale, off the beaten track, in a quiet and peaceful position. There are walks right from the doorstep and the pub is only a 10 minute walk away. As we are a dedicated Bed & Breakfast for hikers and nature lovers, we are unable to accept bookings from guests who are attending wedding events in the area. This helps us maintain the calm, early-to-bed atmosphere that our visitors value. We appreciate upper understanding.
If you love the Lakes and want a great base from which to explore and enjoy many walks, then do come and stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to this special place, tucked away from the outside world.
In the next village of Glenridding there are various places to eat & drink, a couple of shops, an outdoor shop and a gallery selling local arts and crafts. Come and explore Ullswater, Helvellyn, Placefell, St Sunday's & High Street just to name a few. Ambleside, Windermere & Keswick are 30 minutes drive away.
