The Staff are so Friendly. The room was a good size at the front. Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!

The room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. The grounds surrounding the hotel were lovely and well kept. There was plenty of parking. The food for dinner service was delicious though perhaps the starters and desserts could have been slightly cheaper. All the staff were helpful, friendly and polite.

Lovely quiet hotel & not far from Ambelside. Breakfast was fantastic & plenty of selection. The Bar looked great & the food smelled very nice but sadly I didn't try any. I would defo recommend a stay here, plenty of coffee etc in the room & the bathroom had plenty of soaps, towels etc. They also let me leave my car there after I checked out & looked after my car keys. A very enjoyable stay.

Viewpoint was in a perfect location next to everything.

Viewpoint was in a perfect location next to everything. Free permit supplied which was welcomed, parked at the top of the hill unloaded and managed to get a parking space about 200 yards away and didn't move the car again until we left. Great break.

We stayed at Waterhead, delightful area.

We stayed at Waterhead, delightful area. Our golden retriever could happily go into the water. Busy but not too much. Liked the bars for sitting out by the lake and the little coffee shop. We went into Ambleside town. Very very busy, struggled to park, but did manage eventually. We thought the town looked a little bit tired.

I loved being beside the lakeside and all the amenities...

I loved being beside the lakeside and all the amenities round about. It has beautiful views and the convenience of the boat trips was just great. Lots of walks round about and the people are lovely and so helpful. I will definitely go back.

Ambleside is a lovely place with lots of lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants. And it is great for shopping. Plus it is a great base for getting to all of the great and beautiful scenery and attractions/walks.

Lots of choice for eating and drinking in Ambleside and...

Lots of choice for eating and drinking in Ambleside and option to take the boat or bus for the short journey to Windermere. Would stay again at the hotel in Ambleside, as it’s less congested than Windermere, but nice to visit Windermere for a day trip. Would also recommend Lakeland Motor Museum.

Compact cottage right in the centre of town. Well equipped kitchen. Heating and shower easy to use. Buses nearby. Lots of places to eat - some a bit expensive Plenty of walks straight from the cottage Parking could be a bit awkward Second bedroom a bit small

We stayed in the scafell lodge and the room was spacious, comfortable and the views were stunning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting this part of the lakes. Perfect for couples, hikers, anyone wanting to visit ambleside and the surrounding areas, and very dog friendly too! Felt like staying in a spa room but with better views and half the price

The hotel is in a great location with parking . ( this is a major bonus in this area ) the rooms was great comfy beds clean and all modern . Food was excellent with great service to match. The spa families and pool are brilliant. And the outdoor spa is so relaxing . Would recommend this hotel .
