Fabulous B&B, lovely hosts, awesome breakfast, comfortable lounge and lovely stay. It was particularly useful to be able to charge my Electric Vehicle overnight on the drive using the wall mounted charger.

Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgable, aiming to help us make the most of our trip. The B&b has so many homely touches and beautiful gardens. The room was fantastic after a busy day of exploring. Breakfast and little treats like cakes were super!

Ruimte, rust, privacy❤️ we hadden geluk met 2 stralende zonnige dagen. Het heerlijke ontbijt dat Rob iedere ochtend naar wens klaar maakte en serveerde😍.

A little bit of Island luxury. Boutique bed and breakfast in Whiting Bay, Arran. A peaceful and intimate base from which to explore everything that the Island has to offer. With hosts to make you comfortable and advise on whatever activities take your fancy. Awarded AA Guest Accommodation of the Year, Scotland 2018/19. We bought the property in 2015 and have spent the intervening time sympathetically converting a beautiful 19th century house into a comfortable and welcoming destination. Peace and luxurious relaxation are main things on offer in addition to any help or advice about how you might like to spend your time on Arran should you require it.
We are Rob (a Scottish Geologist) and Nanette (an American HR professional), and have lived for most of our adult lives in Glasgow visiting Arran regularly and especially when hosting visitors. Having travelled extensively we wanted to establish a place which combined the best of all the great places we have stayed in, and to offer visitors help in making the most of a visit to Scotland and in particular, Arran. Between us we have quite a range of interests and many with an outdoor focus: walking, climbing, cycling, kayaking, fishing and bird watching; also Scottish history, archaeology, genealogy, interior decoration, cooking & baking, (with special interest in food intolerances and preferences) and malt whisky.
One of us would say that geology is the basis for most things; conspicuously true in Arran’s case with its’ distinctive divide between the mountainous north and lowland south, a direct result of spanning the Highland Boundary Fault - a geological feature which marches across Scotland separating Highland from Lowland. Given that Arran has a circumference of 56 miles, this plays directly to the description Scotland in Miniature and as the island is only 40 miles from Glasgow International Airport, what better and easier location to sample Scotland? All the classic elements are here: highlands, lowlands, moors, glens, castles, forests, wild beaches, whisky, deer, sheep and eagles.
