Recently renovated to a high specification, Curlew Cottage & Sunset View provide bright & airy self-catering accommodation located directly across the road from the beautiful sandy bay of Port Logan. Each well-equipped property accommodates up to four people. Subject to availability they can be booked together for larger families or friends wishing to holiday together. The properties share a communal porch with private internal doors. CURLEW COTTAGE is set over one floor (with two small internal steps) & has the advantage of a log-burning fire for those cozy winter evenings! There is a good-sized living room with dining area, a modern separate kitchen and two bedrooms (one with king-sized bed, the other with two singles). The bathroom has a bath with an over-bath shower. Outside there is a secure patio area with drying facilities, a picnic bench & BBQ. Curlew Cottage is pet friendly. We allow up to two small or one medium sized pet - we even provide doggy towels & a mud-daddy for washing down your pet off after a long walk on the sandy beach! Please note we do not take dogs on the dangerous dogs list. Check or ask for details of our pet policy before booking. We charge a small additional pet cleaning fee for those bringing a pet. Weekly bookings only May 6th - Sept 29th. Saturday changeover. SUNSET VIEW is a bright & spacious apartment set over 3 floors with stunning views over Port Logan Bay from all living and bedroom areas. The main bathroom (with electric shower) is on the ground floor with the living room, kitchen area, double bedroom and cloakroom (toilet & washbasin) on the first floor. A twin-bedded room with cozy reading areas is on the second floor (the beds can be zipped together to make a super-king if requested). Outside there is a small seating and drying area. Please note, Sunset View does not accept pets. Weekly bookings only May 5th - Sept 29th. Friday changeover day. Please state which property you are interested in when booking your stay!

Chris and Norrie are friendly hosts who love fishing, gardening, DIY and exploring the beautiful area they live in. They are happy to provide information on the local area to guests and suggest things to do and visit. Equally they are happy to leave guests to 'do their own thing' if that is their preference. We love your little furry friends and welcome up to two small, or one medium pets in Curlew Cottage. We also provide doggy towels, dog treats and a mud daddy to ensure your pet has a great holiday too! (Though please note that we do not take dogs on the dangerous dogs list). Port Logan is in a beachside rural location towards the Mull of Galloway. Famous as the location for the television series 2000 Acres of Skye and the recent Gerard Butler film ‘The Vanishing’, Port Logan has a fabulous sandy bay that is excellent for fishing, walking, cycling, water sports, birdwatching or simply as a base for families and couples to explore this stunning part of southwest Scotland. Relax or take a walk on the sandy beach with breath-taking views, visit the exotic paradise of Logan Botanic Gardens, the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse experience - or even take a day trip on the ferry to Belfast to visit the Titanic Exhibition. Seals and dolphins are regular visitors to the waters around the bay, and if you’re lucky you might even spot a minke whale at the right time of year! There is no shop in Port Logan but Stranraer (with the usual supermarkets and shops) is only 20-25 minutes away by car and the villages of Sandhead and Drummore both have a local shop and pubs and are only 10 minutes away by car.
