Dorney Cottage is completely unique. It is part of the prestigious Dorney Court Estate and dates back to the 16th century. The magnificent Great Hall is now a stunning kitchen. The rest of the house is peppered with beautiful original features, including some fabulous examples of stain glass windows & ancient beams. The cottage stands in a wonderful walled garden and is completely private and not overlooked.
Personally, I absolutely love this cottage and all it has to offer, which makes it a very exciting place to welcome guests to. It is so very satisfying meeting people from all over the world & the UK, coming to enjoy the cottage for a multitude of different reasons.
The cottage is located in the lovely village of Dorney betwixt The River Thames, Dorney Court, Dorney Olympic Rowing Lake and Windsor Castle. There are many beautiful walks to enjoy. Dorney Common is like a time warp, with some very old properties scattered across it. The view of Windsor Castle from the Common is something to behold. It is possible to walk into Windsor via Eton and see all of the Eton College boys in their top hat and tails. Dorney Court, a rambling stately home is across the road, literally ! Just beyond that is the Olympic Rowing Lake (2012). The majestic River Thames winds its path only a few hundred feet from the property. All in all, to stay here is a completely unique experience.
