In line with Government guidelines we're pleased to welcome guests. It remains essential all bookings are in lined with the rules! The cottage is thoroughly cleaned between guests. The house is full of charm and character, good sized rooms [albeit wonky and with low ceilings!], modern kitchen and a private garden. Please note there is only on street parking from 100 metres from the cottage.
Anouska and I (Tim) are proud to host guests at our thatched cottage near Cambridge (and our seafront apartment in Felixstowe). After more than 7+ years hosting we feel like we have seen everything, from the heart warming, to moments that make you want to cry! But overwhelmingly our experience of hosting guests continues to be a great pleasure to us. We hope you will enjoy your stay in one or even both of our places, please never hesitate to ask if we can help in any way. We live 800 metres from the cottage (our old house) and are always available to help, give advice and sort out any problems. We provide tea, coffee, cereals, milk and Juice to get you started. We can often accomodate early check-ins and late checkouts if arranged in advance. There is a fee to cover arrangements, changing the cleaning schedule and to cover utilities.
The house is on a quiet lane lined with lovely gardens and friendly neighbours. We have 7 neighbours, all really nice people, we ask guests to be respectful and not to make too much noise as the evenings roll on or too early in the morning! We do not live next door (not sure why people assume this!) but we are only 800 metres away so can be there to help with anything you need. Meldreth station is a short walk [~10 minutes] with trains to Kings Cross and Cambridge once or twice an hour. M11 is close, Stansted airport is from 30 minutes and Luton airport from 45 minutes. If we are around we are happy to collect guests from the station. If you are thinking of going further by taxi there are companies around but they are few and sometimes expensive, we offer an informal car service, all donations welcomed by the kids!
