We arrived and everybody was so friendly. We were able to quickly and efficiently get checked in. The next day, Hayley served us in the restaurant for breakfast and answered any questions we had about the food as breakfast in the UK is very different compared to breakfast in the US. We did have a hard time getting an Uber from the hotel to the museum that we had planned to go to but Emily was able to get a cab for us very quickly and we were able to be at the museum right when they opened which was our goal. Everybody there was very friendly and helpful. Duxford is a very small town with few accommodations but I'm glad we found this place. It's very cozy and quaint, the rooms were clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay here again. And I loved the art and just the general vibe of the hotel. It was quaint yet modern.

It was lovely - beautifully decorated with a good-sized bathroom and good water pressure in the shower. It was nice to have a refrigerator. Full English breakfast was delicious.

We recently stayed at Sheene Mill in Melbourn and were thoroughly impressed. This charming boutique hotel and wedding venue is set within a beautifully converted 400-year-old mill, full of character and history. The setting is simply idyllic, overlooking a picturesque river that creates a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing short break or a romantic wedding venue, it's hard to imagine a more beautiful location. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding countryside make it the perfect place to unwind. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a modern, well-appointed bathroom. The breakfast was exceptional – without doubt one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in a long time, and we stay in hotels regularly. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The only minor downside was that the shower overflowed slightly onto the bathroom floor, as the drainage could do with some improvement. It certainly didn't spoil our stay, but it's something the hotel may want to address. Overall, Sheene Mill is a real hidden gem, combining historic charm, stunning scenery, excellent hospitality, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a unique countryside escape or a beautiful venue for a special occasion.

What I saw of Melbourn was lovely.

What I saw of Melbourn was lovely. Did not stay long enough to give any more information..... except that the local facilities seemed good with 2 pubs, local supermarket, pharmacy and beauticians in a shop selling selective clothing.

I booked this hotel for a colleague. There was a mix up with the payment of the invoice, so I tried to contact site on several occasions to be told that I couldnt be helped until after 5pm, which doesnt help those customers whose accounts departments work 9-5pm. It took several attempts and some frustrating phone calls to eventually pay.

This hotel has idyllic grounds and comfy rooms. Breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order but the highlight for us was the lovely lady serving breakfast gave us some duck food to feed the resident ducks, plus made us a delicious coffee, even got to see three ducklings too, would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a pretty location. The wildlife in the mill pond/river is delightful to watch. The breakfast was well-presented, served hot, and was tasty.
