Fair Farm Hideaway is a small, friendly, quiet and secluded site, in a pretty rural lakeside setting. The Shepherd hut site is located on our family farm and you will have open views across our fishing lakes, grassland as well as beautiful far-reaching views across the Leicestershire countryside. The Shepherd hut site has been designed to ensure each hut has a unique view of the lake, whilst being landscaped to provide a designated private area for each hut. Visitors will be able to walk and cycle through established and newly created wild life habitats. All huts have en-suite facilities with all towels and linen provided, everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and allow you to relax and slow down to nature's pace whilst enjoying the surrounding countryside. All huts contain modern facilities such as coffee machine, kettle, toaster, 2 ring hob, microwave and TV. Some huts also contain a oven , smart TV's and hot tubs. Guests can purchase fishing tickets on site for exclusive access to our two fishing lakes

The Shepherd huts’ site is positioned on the outskirts of the village of Waltham on the Wolds, which is 5 miles north of the quaint market town of Melton Mowbray, the renowned rural capital of food in the county of Leicestershire. Waltham on the Wolds is also located within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, with the magnificent Belvoir Castle situated 6 ½ miles away. The village has a pub restaurant, serving both lunch and dinner on a daily basis. Pie night on a Monday night is not to be missed! There is a post office and shop, as well as a deli and doctors surgery. There are plenty of walking routes through the beautiful countyside. Sky diving, gliding, shooting and many other activities are within a short distance of the village. Group bookings can be arranged on request. Further north of the village, along the main A607 and across the border into Lincolnshire, lies the town of Grantham. Grantham is situated 10 miles from Waltham on the Wolds and is on the main East Coast train line with regular trains from London taking a little over an hour.
