Fiddlers Green is owned by the McCarthy family, and has been now for 28 years. (2016) Originally Frank and Maureen McCarthy's pub it is now owned by, run and loved by Franks Son Conor and Wife Tracy McCarthy.

Fiddlers Green Pub, B&B and self catering accommodation is located in the heart of the picturesque town of lovely Portaferry. Fiddlers is famed for its love of live local music and this can be enjoyed all weekend and anyone with a voice or anyone who can play an instrument is welcomed to join the musicians for a tune in 'the corner'. Recently Fiddlers Green welcomed a new addition to the pub in the shape of a door from the HBO television series, Game Of Thrones, this can be viewed at any time when the pub is opened. We take great pride in our accommodation, the rooms have been recently treated to new en suite bathrooms and the feedback has been great. We feel that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so every guest can enjoy a full Ulster fry in the mornings too. We recently seen the opening of our self catering house this year, 2016, too. A beautifully finished 2 bedroom town house.

Fiddlers Green is located in the heart of Portaferry, it is beside the main bus route for the peninsula. It is just a 2 minute walk to the ferry boat terminal, the ferry runs every half an hour and connects us to another small village, Strangford. There are local shops all close by. Many lovely attractions are just a short distance away, Castle Ward, which is a main filming location for Game of Thrones, Mount Stewart and we are also on 'St. Patrick's Trail', to name a few.
