Company info

As the owner works and lives out with the area, the property was designed and built for spending time with his children in Caithness. When it is not used by the owner, guests can book private ensuite rooms on a single night basis. Bookings and guest communication are managed remotely but our local house keeping team can help anytime on site if required.

Property info

Built in 2021, Flotnar Hús is a modern eco-friendly property and was awarded Gold by Green Tourism in 2024. The property is simple to find with stunning views and easy walking distance to the beach, castles and local bar / restaurant. The house has a peaceful atmosphere, the showers are refreshing and the beds are comfortable. All rooms are finished to a high standard. Our first floor sea view room (room 3) includes exclusive use the properties HSG282 compliant hot tub.

Neighborhood info

Keiss beach, harbour, broch, castles, village bar and restaurant are all within walking distance. Guests can also enjoy various activities in the surrounding area including golf, horse riding and water sports. Wick is 7.9 miles from the property where you can find all of your essential shopping needs and John O’Groats is 8.7 miles. There are regular car ferries to Orkney from Gills Bay 10.9 miles away.
