We're thrilled to share our charming lodge, which is set within the beautiful 1-acre garden of our home. The lodge is completely private, surrounded by trees and shrubs, providing a serene and secluded retreat. We love sharing this special space with visitors. Glad enjoys walking, cycling, and sewing, while Kenny is passionate about gardening, wildlife and building. He has built many features in the garden including the wonderful folly! a great place to sit by the open fire and enjoy a drink on a nice evening. The area is steeped in history, with the historic Etherley Incline a two minute walk away, the Etherley Incline was a key component of the Stockton & Darlington Railway (S&DR), the world's first public railway to use steam locomotives, which opened in 1825. Located in County Durham, England, it connected Witton Park Colliery to the main line at Shildon. Low Barns Nature Reserve, is a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
