Goitre Bach is a comfortable easy access detached cottage. The cottage is situated in the peaceful village of Llwyncelyn, with a 20 minutes walk from a small shingle beach at Gilfach-yr-Halen, which leads onto the Cardigan Bay Coast path walk. The Moody Cow restaurant, pub, farm shop and soft play is situated within walking distance across the peaceful countryside. A perfect visit for those cold cosy nights by the fire or for a summers evening sat out looking over the lake. There is a village store and petrol station within walking distance for groceries, newspapers or the post office.
Myself and my husband Roger enjoy spending time with our family and love the outdoor life. Walking the Cardigan Bay Coastal path is one of our favourite walks. We have been meeting and greeting guests from all over the world for over 14 years and we enjoy sharing our local knowledge and are looking forward to meeting our future guests. We are onsite if guests need help in any way.
Just 2 miles away is the picturesque Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, with unique shops and many good restaurants providing the finest foods from locally sourced ingredients. Here you will find that festival and various events are held throughout the summer, such as seafood festival, a cider and beer festival, a festival celebrating Welsh ponies and cobs, a mackerel festival, a carnival and more. In the winter, Aberaeron is more peaceful but all pubs and restaurants remain open. Inland, you can explore the lush Aeron valley and visit the National Trust mansion at Llanerchaeron, an elegant Georgian villa set in the wooded Aeron Valley. Remarkably unchanged for over 200 years, this self-sufficient estate includes a farm, walled gardens and a beautiful lake full of wildlife. Enjoy a coffee and a cake here before taking a leisurely stroll back alongside the old railway path through the woodland to the Georgian town of Aberaeron. There are 60 miles of glorious coastal path if you enjoy walking, and lots of towns and villages to explore. The beaches and coves at Cwm Tydu, Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth are just a short distance away along this beautiful stretch of coastline.
