Quintessential honey-coloured 300-y.o. Cotswold cottage, Graziers Cottage was refurbished in 2018 to meet the standards of modern living. We carefully preserved all historical features: mullion windows, flagstone floors, wooden beams, exposed stone and - most importantly - the massive inglenook fireplace which gives that wow factor to the property. As a result of the refurbishment, the cottage benefits from a new beautiful shower room, thermostat-controlled underfloor heating, superfast broadband 350 Mbps, three smart TVs with Netflix, modern facilities and appliances. Benefits of staying at Graziers Cottage: - guaranteed parking space for two cars; - award-winning country pub around the corner; - private secluded garden with tables and chairs; - out of hustle and bustle but within easy reach to many beautiful Cotswolds villages and market towns; - picturesque country walks start outside the cottage with direct access to Cotswold Way.
I love the Cotswolds! And I love hosting, making people feel welcome and home from home. Recently I've also discovered a passion for olde-worlde traditional English cottages. My holiday cottage is 300 years old and Grade II Listed (quite a challenge to manage!), and I have put all my love and passion into it. I love sharing my knowledge of the local area with my guests: there is a lot of useful info and tips provided in my digital guidebook. I am also happy to produce a tailored travel itinerary for my guests on a complimentary basis.
When my husband and I first came to Ford, we were absolutely blown away by how pretty the hamlet was! From the moment we parked our car at the car park and walked down to Graziers Cottage, we felt like we were transported into a fairytale! Honey-coloured stone walls, roses and cottage flowers everywhere... "The Plough Inn" which is within a one-minute walk from the cottage is a very cosy country pub serving delicious food and a very welcome addition to anyone's holiday! The icing on the cake is Jackdaws Castle across the road - a famous horse-racing training facility. Watching jockeys training is great fun and definitely something people don't do on an everyday basis. The famous Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way run just outside the cottage and well signposted. The cottage is located in a small peaceful Cotswold hamlet of Ford, within a 10-minute drive from Stow-on-the-Wold, Upper and Lower Slaughters, and 15 minutes from Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh and Winchcombe. Cheltenham Racecourse is 20 minutes away, and Cheltenham town centre is 30 minutes away by car. We are less than 90 minutes drive from London.
