Great Edge is a traditional three bedroom Yorkshire country home set in an elevated position in Warley, offering beautiful open views across the surrounding countryside. Full of character and classic furnishings, the cottage provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to six guests. The property features a generous living room with deep Chesterfield sofas, a wood burning stove and large windows overlooking the valley, creating a warm and welcoming space to relax. There is a separate dining area ideal for family meals, and a fully equipped country style kitchen complete with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, the cottage offers three well sized bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a king size bed and traditional wooden furniture with countryside views. The second bedroom is a bright double room, while the third bedroom provides twin beds, making the property ideal for families or groups of friends. Two bathrooms serve the house, including a family bathroom with bath and shower over, plus an ensuite bathroom for added convenience. Outside, guests can enjoy a private hot tub positioned to take full advantage of the panoramic rural views. The cottage also benefits from private parking for up to three cars on a shared driveway. Great Edge Cottage combines space, comfort and traditional Yorkshire charm in a peaceful countryside setting. A small annex attached to the cottage is occupied by a neighbour. The annex is separate from the main house and does not form part of the guest accommodation Please note: Being in a beautiful rural setting, the neighbouring farm is home to horses and sheep. From time to time, they may wander over to say hello near the garden, a lovely countryside experience for our guests.

Great Edge is located in the village of Warley in West Yorkshire, set within the beautiful Calder Valley countryside. The area is known for its rolling hills, open moorland and traditional stone villages, making it ideal for walking, cycling and exploring the outdoors. There are several scenic walking routes directly from the property, with access to Warley Moor and surrounding countryside. Hardcastle Crags, a National Trust woodland area with riverside trails and dramatic rock formations, is approximately 15 minutes by car. Ogden Water reservoir offers gentler circular walks and picnic spots, while Luddenden Dean is known for its wooded valleys, historic packhorse bridges and waterfalls. Two popular village pubs are within easy walking distance. The Winterburn is just a short stroll away and offers panoramic views across the Calder Valley, along with real ales and home cooked food. The Maypole Inn in Warley village is a traditional pub serving meals in a relaxed setting. Halifax is approximately 10 minutes by car and offers a range of shops, restaurants and attractions including The Piece Hall, an 18th century courtyard now home to independent stores, cafes, events and live music. Visitors can also explore Shibden Hall and Shibden Valley, well known as filming locations for several television series. Haworth, around 20 minutes away, is famous for its connection to the Bronte family, with cobbled streets, independent shops and access to moorland walking routes. The location offers a peaceful rural setting while remaining within easy reach of local towns and attractions.
