If you would like to ask any questions before booking, unfortunately this platform won’t allow me to respond until you have made a booking. I can usually accommodate most requests..if this isn’t possible, free cancellation can be made within 24hours. Our guest house is situated in Compton, south of Winchester. Approximately 3 miles from central Winchester and 8 miles from Southampton. We are very close to the beautiful river Itchen and being on the edge of the South Downs, there is the opportunity for endless walks. The guest house is separate from the main house, with its own parking area, affording you complete privacy. It backs onto our lovely park, which can be seen hosting cricket in the summer months.

Myself, my husband, 2 daughters and mum (in adjoining annexe) have lived in Compton since 2014. I enjoy walks with our dog, reading, exploring, spending time with family, eating out and catching up with friends for coffee. I regularly attend a CrossFit gym, which I really enjoy even though it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done! I love where we live, it feels semi-rural but with close links to Winchester and surrounding areas.

We are a 10-15 minute walk from Shawford train station and a 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, which offers very regular buses to Winchester or Southampton. We have some lovely coffee shops, pubs and restaurants nearby.
